![]() ![]() This is truly a grass roots effort and maybe something that will set the stage for future game development. Jacobs himself will invest $2 million of his own funds into the game if it funds. There are already investors ready to back the game if it funds. This could change, but for right now, it is not a complex thing. Purifying of materials for blocks is confirmed for Beta 1, but is simplistic in design. Sometimes it will speed up, sometimes it will take a little longer, and sometimes it will yield extra purified substances. Even if you do not pledge, I would ask that you at least spread the word. For Beta 1, we should keep it very simple. I encourage anyone who is interested, curious, or just wants to see if a AAA title can come from someone not named EA, Activision or Sony to check out the Kickstarter and see what you think. Whatsmore, the tech and integration they are proposing is quite a bit different than what we have seen in the past. The game is being lead by Mark Jacobs who was the president of Mythic Entertainment when Dark Age of Camelot was released and who has been involved in game design since the days of Meridan 59 (what many consider to be the first 3D mmog). I dont think theres enough information at this point to judge the chances of it. Camelot Unchained is proposed as a niche game that focus nearly exclusively on large RvR player encounters. I think it is much more likely to launch in the 2nd half of 2020 than to launch in the first half of 2020. For anyone unfamiliar with Camelot Unchained or funding games on Kickstarter, I encourage you to go to site mentioned above and check it out. ![]()
